The backup battery can last 120 days in standby mode. The battery will trickle charge when required. Simple install with only Power, Ground and Ignition required. Trackem's MagTracker wakes up every 8 hours to update its position. When motion is detected, it starts updating every 2 minutes. The rechargeable battery can last 2 - 6 weeks depending on the amount of daily travel.
